A webcast is an online broadcast of audio and/or video content over the internet, essentially "broadcasting" over the web to a large, virtual audience, often from a single source to many viewers (one-to-many). It can be a live event or pre-recorded, serving purposes from corporate town halls and product launches to entertainment, allowing for remote access and often featuring features like Q&A, polls, and on-demand access after the live broadcast.
